Your new party should now be: Main Character + Wenduag + Vivisectionist + Vivisectionist + Brown-Fur Transmuter + Seelah. Also there is no reason to rest until Market Square, so don’t rest yet. You must have “only active party members receive experience” OFF when you recruit mercenaries or new party members! Afterwards switch it back on for adventuring. Now go buy and create your three mercenaries. Make a regular save with something easy to find later (Ex: “Recruit Mercs at level 3”) As you can go back and recreate your three mercenaries anytime if you feel like my set up doesn’t suit your playstyle. After exhausting all you can do at the Tavern, go to the bartender/shopkeeper and sell everything except scrolls and potions and magic items you want to go with your new team. Right next to Camellia is that merchant who owes you gold, go collect it and pass another diplomacy check to get a bigger reward for his next quest.
